Our swimming and boating programs are in jeopardy! Long Lake, like many other local lakes, has become infested with a weed called Milfoil. Milfoil has a stem that rises from the bottom of lakes or rivers.  The stem can continue to grow to the surface of the water and bloom. Milfoil spreads and grows quickly like dandelions in a lawn, but milfoil presents more of a problem than an eyesore. This weed has become so invasive it makes swimming and boating unsafe.  To harvest these weeds before our Summer Youth Program costs over $8,000. We have researched many options, and this is the safest and most cost-effective way to ensure the safety of our waterfront activities for our campers. Please help us save our Camp Waterfront programs.
